The Philips HeartStart Onsite Infant/Child SMART Pads are designed for children and infants who are 8 years old or younger and weigh less than 55 pounds. The pads are easy to identify, featuring a teddy bear icon for quick pad exchange and clear visual indicators to ensure proper pad placement. Once installed, the AED adjusts its settings for child defibrillation.
The Pediatric SMART Pads have a two-year lifespan.
Pad replacement is required after every rescue attempt.
